Accomplishments and Press
The Hartford Youth Scholars Foundation has had three successful years of operation. The organization has a dynamic staff, an active Board of Directors, and has maintained a balanced budget since its inception. HYSF has received national and local press in publications including: The Hartford Courant, The Trinity Tripod, Connections: The Journal of the New England Board of Higher Education, and U.S. Mayor, the official publication of the United States Consortium of Mayors. The Hartford Courant published a front-page, 3-page feature article on HYSF and The Academy, on Sunday, April 5, 2009. HYSF will be featured on the NBC WVIT Channel 30 News segment “Making the Grade,” on Wednesday, August 12, 2009. The organization is led by a dedicated staff of six individuals.
