Since the first group of students enrolled in The Academy, over 85% of Scholars have enhanced their education by completing the academic component. Of these Scholars, close to 80% have been placed at independent schools.
The Steppingstone Academy Hartford Scholars have been accepted into some of the most prestigious independent schools in the state and country. This year alone, Scholars have accessed over $508,150 in financial aid, and achieved the highest SSAT scores to date, breaking into the 80th percentile.
We boast a 100% high school retention rate for both placed and non-placed students. We are committed that 100% of our scholars will attend a four-year college, made possible due to the support and preparation of the Steppingstone Academy Hartford.
The Steppingstone Academy Hartford not only admits Scholars but families as a whole. Families are involved from the moment an inquiry call or nomination is received all the way through high school graduation, and beyond.
Hartford Youth Scholars Foundation provides ongoing support to our scholars. Once a scholar is accepted into our program, we are committed to their success, whatever it takes. During the Academy, scholars have regular contact with our teachers and staff, as much as needed. Once scholars complete the Academy, a dedicated staff member is in contact and visits each scholar three times during the year at their Independent School or locally for those at Hartford Public Schools. Scholars are held accountable and are strongly encouraged to reach their potential.
Both our academic program and administrative offices are housed on the campus of Trinity College, setting an expectation from the start of contact with HYSF that College is and will be an achievable goal.
